Huxley Peckham, Founder and AI Systems Consultant at Tech Horizon Labs, Noosa Heads Queensland

Tech Horizon Labs is run by Huxley Peckham, based in Noosa Heads on the Sunshine Coast. We build AI systems for small and mid-sized businesses across Queensland and Australia, the kind of teams that are growing fast and need their operations to keep up.

Huxley's background is in IT systems and blockchain engineering, work where infrastructure decisions are permanent and cutting corners costs more to unwind than to get right the first time. Before THL, he worked across software development, distributed systems, and enterprise technology. That engineering discipline shapes every THL engagement: start with the data, understand the workflows, then build automation that has something solid to run on.

We've deployed systems for accounting firms, builders, real estate agencies, manufacturers, allied health clinics, talent agencies, and energy companies. We've trained teams of 2 and teams of 26. We pick the right tool — Claude, ChatGPT, open-source models, custom builds — based on what the job needs, not what we resell.

From clients who've worked with us:

"He's helped me heaps in my business, streamlining the processes, using AI and these sort of tools to make my life easier, my work easier, and get a lot more productivity."

Michael Hunt, Biz Build Noosa

"He really goes to the basics... and knows what I really need. Very practical for marketing my business now."

Valeria, Vacation Rental Management

"If I had to choose between the big AI agencies and Tech Horizon, I'd choose here every time. The content is genuinely valuable, not the recycled stuff you see everywhere else."

Matt Reynolds, AI Consultant

"He was able to teach me how to use AI properly, and I don't want to say I'm a cheat, but I feel like I'm an AI cheat now, thanks to him."

Wellness Platform Owner

Not all AI help is equal.

Three archetypes exist in the Australian AI consulting market. Knowing which one you're working with changes everything.

The Business Coach

Adds "AI tips" to existing business coaching programs. Not an AI practitioner. Uses one or two tools. Teaches ChatGPT prompting from a marketing lens. Can't build anything. Good for mindset, not implementation.

The Single-Tool Specialist

Deep expertise in one platform (usually ChatGPT or Copilot). Valuable for that tool, but their toolkit doesn't expand beyond it. The ACCC's action against Microsoft over Copilot lock-in is a live example of why single-tool dependence is a structural risk for Australian businesses.

The Frontier Orchestrator

Works across multiple AI platforms (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Agent Opus), builds real applications, and translates frontier capabilities into business outcomes. The right tool for each task, not the one your vendor bundles.

Huxley Peckham is the third. He's built PaddockMap — a land parcel intelligence tool — using Claude Code and Replit over a weekend while the government's equivalent project spent $3.5M. Every week he's running new models in production, not watching YouTube videos about them.
